The Ergonomics Student Design Competition provides an ideal opportunity for graduate level students to assess, design, and present their solutions to a challenging problem in ergonomics. The competition is presented by IIE, sponsored by Auburn Engineers, Inc., and enthusiastically supported by the Applied Ergonomics Community.  Please check the Competition Website for more information.

A new publication has been added to the Ergo Publications section of the Auburn Engineers web site.  Planning Necessary For Ergonomic Program Success, by David C. Alexander explains how planning directly affects the success of ergonomic programs.  Go to the Ergo Publications page to view this and other publications.

A new publication, Ergonomic Guidelines for Manual Material Handling, has been added to the Ergo Publications page.  This 68-page, full color booklet was developed and co-published by EASE (Ergonomics Assist Systems and Equipment) Cal/OSHA, CNA Insurance Company and NIOSH.  This publication can help recognize high-risk MMH work tasks and choose effective options for reducing their physical demands.  We hope you find this, and our other publications useful!

Auburn Engineers is proud to present the new Ergo Publications section of the Auburn Engineers web site.  Ergo Publications is devoted to presenting ergonomics and workplace safety related white papers and articles written by Auburn Engineers ergonomists.  New papers will be added regularly so be sure to read the Ergo Edge newsletter or checking the Auburn Engineers web site to stay up to date on the newest papers.

Auburn Engineers, Inc. is making free ergonomic calculators available.  These calculators are web-based versions of common evaluation tools used throughout the ergonomics community.  After entering simple, easy-to-obtain data, you receive information that enables you to improve your workplace.
